    Description

For your consideration:Estate find -- a great piece of Rock and Jazzfest history in the form of the original Stage Placard from the Allman Brothers Band apperance at the April 2000 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. The placard is signed  Dickie Betts, Marc Quinones and Jaimoe.  These three signatures have been verified by an Allman Brothers  collector as legit. There is also a Gregg Allman signature but that may be questionable, it is possibly a proxy signature. New Orleans and the Allman Brothers Band shared a mutual love with each other dating back to the bands formative days with a free concert at Audubon Park, and later as a regular at the Warehouse. They participated in the opening of the Superdome as part of the Southern Day Of Rock. Multiple appearances at Jazzfest further cemented the bands bond with NOLA and left an enduring legacy. Less than a month after the 2000 Jazzfest appearance Dickie Betts was fired from the band never to return. Sadly, Greg Allman passed away in May 0f 2017, joining previously deceased bandmates Duane Allman, Berry Oakley, and Butch Trucks. Any who ever attended an Allman Brother concert will certainly never forget the soulful voice of Greg Allman and the soaring riffs of guitar master Dickie Betts. A great piece of Jazzfest and Rock memorabilia. I will be happy to answer any questions.
