    Description

    Extremely interesting; this is a post-civil war field drum with a 15-1/2" diameter and 5.5" depth.
    The drum has thin block construction, with ship-lap veneer. Very unique tensioning hardware; two pronged hooks (a star pattern stamp is present on the top of one hook); rosewood tension hoops (separation present on top). Rip on top head. Some delamination of the veneer on the drum body but overall in restorable condition. There is metal handle. The drum looks very similar in construction to a Dutch field drum I have seen. I am not a drum expert but I am offering this because it is so interesting. It is sold AS IS.
